Medical Care Specialist March 1982 – August 1987

Provided basic medical care to civilian and military personnel and their families: this care included basic wound cleaning, bandaging, splinting, immobilizing breaks of fractures, patient monitoring, suturing cuts, basic rehabilitation, cold and heat applications, personnel safety, basic head to toe assessment, and nutritional care. My work was recognized by two letters of exemplary achievement and a selection to attend the Army Nurse program to earn certification as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
