    Profile:

     

    I am a friendly and dedicated individual with the ambition to succeed in any given environment.  I am married and a mother of two girls ages 10 and 16.  I have been employed by the Walker County Health Department for a total of 17 years.  I have had several different job duties during these 17 years, and I felt it was important to give a more detailed job description for each duty.  Although I have extensive experience in the position of Administrative Support Assistant for the State of Alabama at the Walker County Health Department Clinic, I love to learn and am always up to a challenge.  I have the ability to work well with others while also working efficiently on my own.  I am seeking a position where I can develop and excel while giving my best to my employer.

    I supervise the 8 members of the clinic clerical staff.  I am responsible for the training and management of these employees to see that productivity is maintained.  I also serve as the receptionist for the Walker County Health Department.  While managing the clinic clerks I also answer the switchboard, enter patient data, schedule appointments for the clinic services, issue WIC food instruments, process/file /issue Vital Statistic records, responsible for the monthly reconciliation of the Imprest Account and Patient In Need (indigent) Accounts for the Health Department, perform any other requests/duties required and/or requested by the Clinic Supervisor, and assist/direct/serve the public.
